SAN CLEMENTE vs. ARROWHEAD FISH & GAME

These two teams met perhaps for the last time at the Lake Arrowhead range on Saturday, September 18, 2010. This is a competition that has been going on for many years. This year it was the AFG’s turn to host this event. The competition has always been close and this year it was only a few birds apart. At this writing, the marines at Camp Pendleton have asked the SC club to stop shooting. This should be resolved soon. The range is on city property and the local Elks Lodge operates the range. The SC guys have their fingers crossed.

To help combat a serious poaching problem, professional hunter Roger Whittall has donated a 10 day Buffalo and plains game hunt in the famous Savy Valley for one hunter. Hunt, daily rate, trophy fees and a $2000 airfare allowance included. The hunt is for the 2010 or 2011 season. Buffalo bull, wildebeest, baboon and impala are included. Other game available by arrangement.

Raffle tickets are limited to only 500. Drawing to be held in August 2010.
